Several years ago my son was a field man for a cattle company, and he visited farmers and ranchers for his business. He filmed cows for sale, and traveled quite a bit. One trip to Texas I asked him to take photos of longhorn cattle for reference for me to paint if he saw any. His photos were beautiful and stood alone as fine art; however, for his momma, he took pictures of some he spotted. I was so grateful, and this is one of my favorite he took. I painted her as soon as I could. What a joy!
I am an oil painter. I paint still life, farm animals and landscapes. I also stretch myself occasionally and create in mixed media, but my first love is painting!
