Description
I painted this Santa Claus portrait with Van Gogh's Starry Night as a backdrop. I am inspired by his work and love the movement in his sky in the painting. Santa Claus has always been represented as someone who brings gifts in surprising and secret ways to those who need them. He is usually portrayed as one who does his brilliant work of miracles in the night. It seemed fitting to place him in Starry Night as an old world Santa Claus. It is my gift to you my viewers this season (smiles).
