There are some years that wildflowers grow "wildly" and so abundant that they cover the earth as carpet. These years are so exciting to me. I look at this being a feast for the eye and soul. It is like manna (a Biblical term for miraculous food) to an artist. This painting is inspiration from one of those carpeted fields that I never tire of seeing in my home state of Oklahoma.
