This particular rooster is colorful with a cape of golden white, body of rusty browns and his tail reflects blues from the sky. The kitchen bowl is one I decided to place in the composition. I was inspired while shooting photos of chickens at a friends house. She had old bowls from the kitchen with grain and water awaiting her fowl. Some of them were quite colorful. This rooster is one of a series I'm working on. I started the series in November 2017 and hope to complete 6 to 8 of them by spring.
I am an oil painter. I paint still life, farm animals and landscapes. I also stretch myself occasionally and create in mixed media, but my first love is painting! I have a Bachelor of Art and a Master Degree in Art Education. I am an active artist, and I post images of my work on Facebook and Instagram. I have listed the links below. I blog and post stories about my paintings, life experiences, and how I was inspired to paint my paintings. https://www.facebook.com/ArtbyCheriWollenberg http://www.cheri-wollenberg.com.
